Location: Potsdam, NY 13676
Shift: Nights 36 hours/week
Contract Length: 13 weeks
RTO: Maximum 7 days
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Float Requirement: May float to sister units: West 2, West 3, and Observation Unit
Orientation: 12 hours
Required Skills Experience
Minimum Experience: 1 year
First-time Travelers: Accepted
Local Candidates: Not accepted (must live gt;50 miles from facility)
Clinical Skills Required
MS/Tele experience
Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
IV insulin protocols
Accessing ports
Blood product administration
Peripheral line care/management
PICC line management
Starting IVs
Heparin protocols
PCA
CVA and seizure disorder management
Substance withdrawal care
Surgical drain care
Chest tube management (Emerson/Pleur-evac)
External CPAP/BIPAP
High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula
Non-invasive airway management
Tracheostomy management
Isolation precautions
Wound care and wound vac
Certifications Required
BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
NIHSS (Stroke Certification)
