Job Description: Night Shift CICU Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CICU Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a challenging and rewarding environment providing critical care services.

Position Details:
- Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
- Start Date: 9/2/25
- Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
- Location: Not accepting local candidates (must reside over 75 miles from the facility)
- Patient Care: 16-bed unit, caring for patients with diagnoses such as sepsis, ARDS, renal failure, heart failure, and more. Patient ratio is 1:2, with occasional 1:1 based on acuity.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level care to critically ill patients with complex conditions
- Perform advanced nursing skills including arterial line management, central line care, and ventilator management
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and blood products as per physician orders
- Conduct regular assessments and vital sign monitoring, while interpreting lab results and dysrhythmias
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop patient-centered care plans
- Educate patients and families on conditions and post-procedural care

Qualifications:
- Licensure: Valid New York State nursing license (must have it in hand to submit)
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in critical care nursing; previous charge experience preferred
- Certifications: Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Skills: Proficiency in advanced critical care procedures, including BiPAP and CPAP management, medication titration, and care for ventilated patients.

Additional Information:
- Candidates may be required to float to other units as necessary
- EPIC charting experience is mandatory
- Candidates with foreign education must inform the recruiter for verification processes
