ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Brevard, North Carolina.

- Number of Beds: 30
- Number of Staff: 40+
- Type of Staff:
- Day Shift: 1 Charge/CNC; 4-5 RNs/LPNs, 2-3 NAs
- Night Shift: 1 Charge/CNC; 4-5 RNs/LPNs, 2-3 NAs
- Patient Ratios:
- SD/ICU: 2-4:1
- Med-Surg: 5-6:1
- 2-3 PCT on floor as appropriate
- Type of Equipment: IV pumps, SCDs, Nova Stat glucometer, wound vac, Baxter feeding pump, Lift equipment as appropriate, Pyxis (nurses only)
- EMR: Cerner
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in an acute care setting.
- Monitoring patient conditions and reporting changes to the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Perform procedures including IV starts, central venous lines, arterial lines, Foley catheters, EKG monitoring, and wound care.
Qualifications:
- Required Certifications:
- BLS for all RNs; ACLS must be completed before the end of orientation.
- PCT/NAs are required to have BLS.
- Preferred Experience:
- RNs with ICU/Stepdown experience.
- Staff with 1 year of Med-Surg experience is preferred.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate should be able to function in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. We care for all levels of care, from Med-Surg to ICU.
Work Schedule:
Rotating weekends and holiday shifts according to staffing matrix. 3 Monday and Friday shifts every 6 weeks.
Dress Code:
- Nurses: Navy blue scrubs
- NAs: Galaxy/Royal blue scrubs
Team Environment:
The Acute Care Unit utilizes a Team-Based Care model. All care providers, including MDs, nurses, case management, pharmacists, and PT/OT, meet daily to discuss patient care, treatments, and discharge needs.
