Our passion for the comfort and care of our Residents is at the heart of Villas of Guerin Woods, especially as they find themselves requiring help with daily life. The Villas of Guerin Woods offer a life-enhancing community providing dignity, respect and choice for older adults needing memory care, assisted living, skilled nursing, and rehab-to-home.
At Villas of Guerin Woods, Residents share a spacious villa containing 10 completely private bedrooms, each with a large, handicap-compliant private bathroom. The Villa’s communal space includes the living room with a cozy fireplace, open kitchen and dining room, therapeutic spa and peaceful patio, including a pretty garden.
BUILT WITH LOVE
The Villas at Guerin Woods is just one of the products of a labor of love by Sister Barbara Ann Zeller (1945-2019). As one of the Sisters of Providence at Saint Mary of the Woods, Sister Barbara was devoted to the education and the church. She dedicated her life and work to providing supportive housing for the elderly. She defined her mission thusly: “Let us build a house where love can dwell and all can safely live.”
In 1981, with the help of a HUD program, Sister Barbara began building Maryvale, her first senior housing complex. Her hard work and determination throughout the 1990s saw her form several partnerships with church, government and private enterprise to build several more supportive housing projects. One of these would later become known as The Villas at Guerin Woods. Today we remember Sister Barbara’s dedication and ideals with gratitude.
Every Resident has his or her own beautiful story, written over the course of a lifetime. We believe passionately in continuing that story for those who are experiencing memory loss, creating a joyful and meaningful life with each new day.
