Adventist Health completed an acquisition from Tenet Health on March 29, 2024. Formerly known as Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center

Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center, the largest hospital in San Luis Obispo County, is a 162-bed facility that has served the community since 1959. Specializing in neurosurgery, orthopedics, obstetrics, perinatology, neonatology, pediatrics, cancer care and various medical, surgical, and outpatient services, it houses the largest Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in the region, the only dedicated pediatric unit in the county, and serves as the designated trauma center. Additionally, Sierra Vista is recognized as a Baby-Friendly USA facility.

The network of 11 primary and specialty care clinics located throughout San Luis Obispo County are now part of Adventist Health Medical Group. Adventist Health operates a network of more than 430 clinics with a focus on providing convenient and high-quality health and well-being services for each age and stage of life. The Central Coast provider team is made up of approximately 40 physicians and advanced practice providers who continue to offer the services you need to experience whole-person health
