About Serenity Hospice

Serenity is committed to its patients in more ways than one. Not only does Serenity prioritize comfort through the use of its experienced clinical team and focus on complementary alternative medicines, but we also believe that no one should ever die alone, afraid, or in pain.

Our mission is that everyone is able to experience a peaceful passing. To accomplish this we have dedicated staff who are trained to be with patients at the end of life and help sit vigil in the final days and hours. We frequently compare ourselves to our peers to make sure that we are there for our patients and families as much as possible.

Longtime employee Alex Chapman said, I've worked for ginormous hospices before and I came back to Serenity. It's big enough that we have every resource available to us, yet I can sit down and have a meeting with my team and then take that information straight to the CEO.

Another tenured employee started with the company as an aide and moved through the ranks to become a hospice consultant. She has stayed so long because the team truly feels like a family and staff members are willing to go above and beyond their job description to take care of each other and their patients.

It is your choice to decide when the time for hospice is right for you. To the extent possible, hospice emphasizes quality of life and tries to give back to patients their own independence and control. Individuals who elect hospice care find that every effort is made to keep them comfortable; allowing them to spend their final months with their loved ones in the place that they call home.

Ideally patients are referred to hospice when their life expectancy is approximately six months. Choosing hospice earlier allows the patient and their loved ones to make the most of their end-of-life journey. The hospice team is always there to guide them through the process and provide support neither prolonging life nor hastening death.
