North Carolina Specialty Hospital (NCSH), is a private, physician-owned medical center that opened its doors in 1926. North Carolina Specialty Hospital has 18 licensed beds, 9 observation beds, 4 operating rooms, and 5 procedure rooms to accommodate both inpatient and outpatient surgery. North Carolina Specialty Hospital offers surgical specialties in orthopedics, ophthalmology, ear, nose and throat as well as sports medicine, oral surgery, plastic surgery, podiatry, general surgery, interventional radiology, pain management, reconstructive surgery, joint replacement.

North Carolina Specialty Hospital, being a physician-owned medical facility, has the means to provide the specialized care and resources to best fit the needs of the patients we serve. With highly skilled physicians and nurses, the hospital strives to maintain a 4:1 patient/nurse ratio, while providing them with the utmost standards of care and patient satisfaction.

North Carolina Specialty Hospital's staff of expertly trained physicians will continue to break new ground using cutting-edge procedures in sports medicine and reconstructive surgery.
