OUR STORY

With beloved members of his family in need of care, our late President & CEO, Gregory D. Smith, set out to change the promise and potential of our later years. That mission began with the 2006 opening of the first Maplewood Senior Living location a vibrant, loving community in Danbury, Connecticut, where Smith's own grandmother and great aunt could live their best lives. In the decades since, this inspired merger of hospitality and healthcare has earned Maplewood a reputation as an industry leader and visionary.

Maplewood is top class, and their staff is incredible. I didn't know anything about assisted living communities, and having a short time to make a decision, thought they would mostly all be the same. This is NOT true. I've learned that some places struggle with quality of staff, process, oversight, and even the physical accommodations. Maplewood is amazing! My family is consistently happy with the services. And most importantly, my mother wakes up each day loving where she lives. That's priceless.
