Global leaders in cancer care

Across the world, we have more than 440 centers offering the latest treatments and technologies that have been proven to help patients achieve the best possible outcomes. We also offer urology and pulmonology care in the U.S. in over 170 integrated medical offices. Every year our team sees more than 400,000 people globally.

What we offer

With a network of state-of-the-art clinics, we provide world-class healthcare that focuses on cancer treatment—including advanced radiation therapies, the latest surgical techniques and medical oncology.

Our history

Our beginning - Our founder's vision

Our beginning started with an individual vision that quickly ignited the commitment from a small but dedicated team. Our founder Dan Collins had a passion to transform healthcare after supporting his father through a terminal illness. After seeing the care process up close, Dan wanted to design and deliver care in a more personal way.

Along with a small group of doctors, Dan led GenesisCare from a single cardiology clinic in 2005, to become a global care leader with more than 5,500 employees across 4 countries with more than 350 clinic locations.

This dedicated, global team of healthcare professionals is committed to finding new and innovative ways to provide focused care. Care that’s designed to fit around you and your life. Care that treats you, not just your condition.

The founding of GenesisCare

In 2003, Dan approached Dr Geoff Holt who led HeartCare Partners in Brisbane, a practice of seven well-regarded cardiologists. HeartCare Partners led the way for group practice, sub specialisation, expert training and a transition to electronic medical records.

With a shared view of what was possible and an urge for change, Geoff, Dan and the HeartCare Partners ‘7’ developed the vision that was to become GenesisCare. DCA Group, led by CEO David Vaux (GenesisCare chairman) was the cornerstone investing partner.

Plans expanded to cover cancer care and cardiovascular disease, leading to the launch of the HeartCare network in December 2004 and the CancerCare network shortly after. GenesisCare was founded in 2005, bringing together like-minded doctors in a network to expand access to care, to make a meaningful difference to care standards and share best practice.

Becoming the GenesisCare of today

Now, almost two decades later, GenesisCare has grown its Australian business while expanding its business abroad through acquisitions in the UK in 2015, Spain in 2016, and the USA in 2020.

In 2022, GenesisCare sold the cardiology business to focus on the oncology space.

Every year, GenesisCare clinical teams see more than 450,000 people across 350+ locations, including more than 300 locations in the U.S., 40 in Australia, 14 in the UK, and 18 in Spain.

GenesisCare is the world’s largest provider of radiotherapy and provides patients with access to diagnostics, medical oncology, surgical oncology, radiotherapy, and novel therapies. With a growing research and trials program numbering more than 150 clinical trials, a contract research organisation, and global innovation programs focused on precision medicine and novel therapies, GenesisCare aims to bring new therapies to more patients in need in a more affordable way.

In March 2023, Dan Collins stepped down from his position as Managing Director and CEO of the business, with a new CEO to be appointed shortly.
