Franciscan Ministries, sponsored by the Franciscan Sisters of Chicago

Today, Mother Mary Theresa’s mission is continued by Franciscan Ministries (FM), which was established in 1988 by the Franciscan Sisters of Chicago. Franciscan Ministries was organized to coordinate all of the Sisters’ sponsored ministries and extend its charitable mission. Franciscan Ministries, sponsored by the Franciscan Sisters of Chicago encompasses:

• Franciscan Communities: A division offering senior care, education, and community-based services. Recognized as a leader in senior housing and healthcare services, they currently own and manage senior living communities in Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio.
• Franciscan Community Services, Inc.: A division providing home and community-based health care services in Illinois and Indiana.
• Franciscan Community Benefit Services, Inc.: A division that includes St. Jude House, a family violence prevention center and shelter in Indiana; and Madonna Foundation, which provides tuition grants and enrichment programs for young women attending a Chicago area, Catholic high school.
• Franciscan Advisory Services: A division that provides consulting services to other organizations.
