About Family Resource Center

Evidence based parenting education programs for parents with infants, toddlers, young children, pre-teens, and teens. Programming includes specialized training for co-parenting through divorce or separation, blended/step-families, and success in school. Individualized skill building for parents or soon-to-be parents. All programs are offered via private sessions and are scheduled at your convenience; weekends and evenings available on a limited basis. Call for an appointment!

The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) provides supplemental foods, health care referrals, and nutrition education for low-income pregnant, breastfeeding and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, and to infants and children up to age 5 who are found to be at nutritional risk.At the Elko WIC Clinic, located in the Family Resource Center, there are many resources available to help you and your family. There is also bilingual staff available for clients who speak Spanish.

Family Resource Center presents two medically-accurate, evidence based health education programs for adolescents in grades 5-7 and teens in grades 8-12, proven effective in reducing the risk of HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and teen pregnancy. Available for implementation in six northern Nevada counties. Call us to set up a class in your area!
